The NEW Stretch to Win book

Posted By Chris Frederick, Thursday, July 20, 2017

The Stretch to Win book, first published in 2006, celebrated it’s 10th anniversary last year, sustaining it’s 5 star review status on Amazon.com all along. One big reason for its success is that my wife Ann and I wrote it with a specific intention. That athletes (and practically anyone) can learn to do simple, accurate assessments of their own mobility. And when you know how to assess yourself, you will know how to fix yourself if you have mobility restrictions, imbalances or problems.

Results went beyond our expectations, with a ton of testimonials from readers as to the effectiveness of the programs in the book. Many reported injury reduction, faster recovery and greatly improved athletic performance. But what really got our attention was hearing about some spectacular outcomes, like how many were able to eliminate their pain and return to a better quality of life. We thought, now that was pretty amazing! Our book changed lives for the better too!!

So when we recently wrote the 2nd edition (which just started shipping June 2017), our intent was to dive even deeper and improve our chapter on assessments with completely new material for easier, faster and more effective outcomes. We believe we succeeded but decided to go even further – to provide our followers with free videos of all the assessments and mobility-stretch programs in the book. After all the best way to learn movement is to watch it while doing it.

In my next blog, I will present a video & discuss our fundamental mobility program called The Great 8™ or simply “G-8”.  Everyone seems to be doing some type of core stabilization or strengthening program but what about core mobility? In our book, we teach you how to assess & address core mobility first for faster, more effective results that includes greater power and strength than if you just did core activation alone.
