How much is tuition?
Levels 1 & 2
Level 3 Fitness & Medical
Regular Price: $650.00
Early Bird Price: $599.00 (early bird price is $51 off full price if registered prior to early cut-off date, which is different for each workshop - usually 45 days prior to workshop start date)
What is the best course to take?
Students must meet the minimum requirements listed on each workshop description. Level 1 must be taken before Levels 2 and 3.
Are travel accommodations included?
How close together can students take the different levels?
Though it is possible to complete all three levels in one year, it is recommended that students give themselves several months between each course to become familiar with the materials learned. One hundred hours of Stretch Therapy must also be completed before moving on to the next level.
What's the normal time scale for people to become fully qualified?
This will depend on how comfortable you are with the material after each workshop. The average time is 1 to 2 years.
Can students change from one workshop date to a different one?
Yes, in most cases (please see chagning from Canadia to US workshop or vice versa below).
To change from one workshop date to another a formal change of workshop date request must be submitted in writing and sent by email prior to 45 days before the workshop start date. A explanation of the reason for the change must be included in your written request.
A fee of $75 will be assessed for all change of workshop date requests. This fee will be deducted from funds paid prior to a refund.
A fee of $100 will be assessed for all second change of workshop date requests.
Please note: Special discounts and credits are non-transferrable. They will be lost as a result of changing workshop dates.
Changing from Canadian workshop to a U.S. workshop or vice versa:
STWI Canada and STWI US are two separate companies, with separate financials. It is not possible to move from a US workshop to a Canada workshop or vice versa. If you wish to change your workshop choice from ether US to Canada or Canada to US a full cancellation of your current registration. You must than registration yourself online for the workshop date of your choice. (Please be aware that we do not do this for you.)
A refund of tuition funds received, minus the change of workshop fee of $75, will be credited back to the card on file. Refunds may take up to 2 weeks to process and could take up to 2-6 weeks for your financial institute to credit back to you. If you do not see a credit within 7-14 days please contact your financial institute for further help.
What happens if students withdraws from a workshop?
Withdrawal requests must be made in writing (email is okay) 45 days prior to a workshop start date and include the reason for the request.
No refunds of tuition paid will be made if a withdrawal request is received after the 45-day deadline. This deadline is exactly 45 days before your workshop start date. Please check your workshop start date before submitting a request.

Can a student repeat a workshop?
Yes, a student may repeat a workshop; however, cost is the same and there are no discounts applied other than registering at the early bird price (early bird price is $200 off full price if registered prior to early cut-off date, which is different for each workshop - usually 45 days prior to workshop start date)

Are there any other workshops not shown on the website?
All of the current workshops are listed on the website.
Workshops are held several times a year in the U.S. and Canada only and are listed under the workshops area of our website. We do not travel to hold workshops.

What is the difference between Level 3 Medical and Level 3 Fitness?
Only professionals licensed to treat pain, diseases and other dysfunctions are permitted to register for Level 3 Medical.
What is Re-certification?
Re-certification is an online program you are eligible for once a live workshop has been taken. A live workshop certification is good for 2 years. When you have reached the 2 year mark, you may:
What if I don't re-certify?
A practitioner who does not maintain their certification is considered to have an expired certification. An expired certification indicates that a practitioner is not current in their training and not in compliance with Institute policy. Therefore the practitioner will be removed from our website Directory and Membership indefinitely or until such time that practitioner is reinstated by re-certification, or takes in person, the next higher level certification course.
Are there payment plans?
No. 1/4 (one quarter or 25%) of the full tuition cost must be paid online at the time of registration. The balance is due 45 days prior to workshop start date, no exceptions. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express & Discover for payment. Sorry, payment plans are not available and remaining tuition balances* will be auto-deducted (from initial credit card used) 45 days prior to workshop start date. You may contact us to make payments toward your balance during business hours.
*If final auto-payment declines, you will have 48 hours to contact us before your seat is opened to our waiting list and your tuition money paid thus far may be lost.
Is it possible to pay a tuition balance early?
Yes. You must contact us during business hours so we can make the payment on your behalf.
If you choose not to pay your balance early, tuition balances will be auto-deducted 45 days prior to workshop start date, taken from the credit card used at the time of registration.
Does STW accept wire transfers, checks, PayPal, or cash for payment?
No. Payments must be made with one of the following major credit card: Visa, MasterCard or American Express. No checks, cash or wire payments will be accepted.
Are loans or scholarships available?
Not at this time.
Can students use their G.I. Bill?
Not at this time.
Is there a discount for Veterans?
Yes! Veteran discounts apply only to living Veterans who have served and does not apply to or include relatives of Veterans. We offer a $500.00 Veteran discount that may be applied to our Level 1, 2 or 3 workshops and a $50.00 discount that may be applied to LifeStretch workshops. Proof of current Veteran status must be submitted prior to registering to receive the discount code. Please email email@example.com with a copy of your Veteran photo ID card.
Do students need to register with their state tax office?
Each state has different tax laws. Please consult a tax attorney for guidelines.
Is it necessary to start an LLC?
As independent contractors it is entirely up to everybody how they wish to list their business. For more advice, please consult a small business adviser.
Where do students purchase insurance for FST?
This is a list of a few insurance companies you may try*:
If you are transitioning careers into FST and will be self employed: You will likely need a scope of practice which may be obtained with a personal training certificate (depending on the country / state / province practicing within) in order to obtain personal liability insurance. Check with local insurance carriers.
Once somebody is certified can they teach the technique?
No. Teaching FST is not allowed and will be cause for legal action. An IPA (Intellectual Property Agreement) regarding our proprietary workshop course content must be signed prior to attending any workshop.
